Sitchin says that the Sumerians counted the Sun (Sol) and the Moon (Luna) as planets. These two plus the nine known planets along with Nibiru make twelve. However, there is a strong theory that suggests a "Dark Star" (failed star) orbits our Sun also. Orbiting this Dark Star, at the same time, is atleast three possible planets, one of them being the recently discovered "Sedna" perhaps. We're still waiting for more evidence of this, but maybe Nibiru is one of those planets as well. Our nine planets plus those three extra planets makes twelve. Perhaps the ancient Sumerians knew this to be a fact and Sitchin simply mistranslated. Dont get me wrong, I hold Zecharia Sitchin in the highest regard and have a tremendous amount of respect for him, hell, he's practically my hero, but he is only human no matter how long he's been doing this work. On the other hand, Sitchin could, as usual, be right on target and this whole blog entry could be a waste of space. R.D.
